2012: What a year that was!

No one in the UK will forget 2012 for a very long time. It was the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, celebrating 60 years of her reign, and of course we hosted the Olympics and Paralympics in London in the summer. It was a magical time of celebration and community.  2012 was a pretty exciting year for me personally, too. I was excited to sign two contracts with Entangled right at the end of 2011 and two more in 2012. My Indulgence title, The Oil Tycoon and Her Sexy Sheikh, was a book that was really special to me and it was a huge thrill to see it published in July.

2012 was, of course, the year that the Indulgence imprint was launched. Since those first books appeared on the digital bookshelves in February, there have been 30 titles, including 2 anthologies.  Some of them have enjoyed success beyond everyone’s wildest dreams – Jennifer Probst’s The Marriage Bargain hit every bestseller list and ended the year at was 6th on the Amazon bestseller list for 2012.  Not all of us hit quite such giddy heights, but they’ve all been well-received and the imprint is going from strength to strength.  It’s been a huge privilege to be involved with a company like Entangled and I can’t wait to see where they go next.

It’s 2013 now.  A new year full of new opportunities. I’m going to become an aunt in the next week or so. I’m due to finish my PhD in the next few months and then I’m hoping to spend more time focussing on writing. Who knows where that will lead?! I’ve got another Indulgence title due out later this year – a very fun, modern take on a marriage of convenience. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do.

January 1st is a good day to look back and to look forward. What were your highlights of 2012 and what are you looking forward to in 2013?

  3. Wow, and aunt and a PhD. That’s a mighty combination Ros. Sounds like 2013 is going to rock for you! It’s been a total blast being a part of the Indulgence family for me. Entangled just seem to be going from strength to strength and the amount of mutual cheer leading for all the great titles is really fab. Thanks to all who pop in here and who read the books we keep on writing. I’m loving being part of this family. Hoping that 2013 brings gets my concurrent WIP projects off my computer and out into the world.
