…Pretend you’re on holiday. I’m not sure that’s a legitimate saying but heck, I’m going to roll with it today. We’ve had the most amazing summer down here in New Zealand, and apparently it’s not going to finish any time soon (yay). All the sunshine has been great for my mood, but also good for putting me in the zone to write the follow up books in my Cruise Series – yep – The Pacific Empress, the Cruise Ship from The Boss and Her Billionaire, hasn’t docked yet and she’s got plenty more travel in her. There’s going to be a few familiar characters and some new ones and I have to say, I’m loving being back on board. There just seems to be something holidayish about writing romance when your characters are swanning about soaked in sun, sand and sultry nights.
It’s got me thinking that perhaps I’m just a sucker for sunny characters. I don’t mean perpetually happy ones, more that they are sun seekers. Bright, outdoorsy, would even hug a tree if no one was looking and the beam of sunlight was hitting the branches just right. Happily my editor is besotted with a new series I’m working on as much as I am…there’s plenty of sun in that one. And sand. And surf…I’ll say no more for now.
Writing all about tropical islands again does make my feet a little itchy though so I wondered where your favorite sun soaked places are? I’m talking places where a bikini is probably the item of clothing you’re most likely to wear (rather than a more metropolitan locale). Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to pop over and say hi at the Indulgence Birthday Celebrations on Facebook.

Hi Michele, Yay, another Pacific Empress book!
While I don’t seem to get a whole lot of time to lie around on beaches anymore I sure do love reading about them. Surprise, surprise but my favourite sun-soaked place is definitely the Greek Islands. Can’t wait to hear about your new series!
Ha, yes, I should have guessed. I’m amazed you have time to breath to be honest! But there you go, being wonderwoman all over the place. Looking forward to getting more Indulgence love out in the world!

I can burn in five minutes flat on a warm day, so I only like to go to the beach when it’s overcast or the sun’s about to go down. Love to read about it, though! Looking forward to your new series
Thanks Robyn, Yes, we dont encourage sunbathing down here do we. But under a shady palm tree, cocktail in hand…Le sigh…lush
